Meet the Staff

Jovinia Gilbert owner/administrator of Just A Touch Of Love Child Development Center LLC. My journey as a child care provider began in the fall of 1996 during a course in high school. At the age of 17, I started my first part-time job in the childcare profession as a teacher’s assistant. After six months on the job I was in love and knew my life long career would be educating children. I began to studying Early Education at Lakeland University to obtain a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. However after being one course away from my senior year, I decided to answer the call of my first love, childcare. After working diligently with my then employer for 12yrs I was given the opportunity to own and operate my own childcare center. On August 4, 2014 Just A Touch OF Love Child Development Center LLC. was born. Being in this field for over 20yrs has not been easy but I truly do love working with children. It's not just a career for me but my passion. As a childcare provider we are the first introduction to education that children have. Although we are often forgotten it’s a great feeling knowing that I get to experience the first words, first steps and help them successfully achieve early milestones that ultimately set them up for a bright and positive future. Throughout my childcare career I’ve had the pleasure to care for over 300 children and my plan for the future is to continue help children strive to become their best selves. I invite you and your children to come learn and grow with us. 

Ms. Jenesia - I am one of the teachers at JATOL. I have been a part of the Just a Touch of Love family since we opened in 2014 but have been a childcare provider for almost 15yrs. Throughout this year I plan to form healthy and positive relationships with both my students and their families. In hopes of making great first steps in that direction, I wrote this short letter to introduce myself and give you better idea of who your child’s teacher is.

I stumbled upon my career in childcare when I started as a summer volunteer and completely fell in love. I truly love and enjoy working with all children and have a sincere passion to help those with mental and physical limitations. I enjoy encouraging children to set goals and then help them to accomplish and surpass them.  I look forward to the embarking on the educational journey with your child and cannot wait to share in their successes with you.
